What is WTI Oil?

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) is a mix of several types of crude oil that are mined and processed in U.S. It is commonly used in gasoline refining. In the trading world, WTI is mainly a benchmark for the US oil market.

What is Brent crude oil?

Brent crude is a blend of oil (Brent, Fortis, Oseberg and Ekofisk) drilled from below the North Sea. It is usually refined into diesel and gasoline. In terms of trading, Brent is one of the benchmarks for oil in the wider market, such as the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
